Page 53 from the scrapbook of Jewell Genevieve Cooper who attended the Florida State College for Women ca. 1924-1930. This page of the scrapbook includes images of students with names listed (item metadata) that were performing various physical activities with one another. These images were taken throughout the campus at the time and show some of the attire that was common. Groups of girls were posing for the camera in 1929-1930 while doing their most impressive free form figures as well as other gymnastics related poses. The female students are seen posing for the camera as well as performing various free form stances some of which are used in gymnastics. They seem to be having a good time so they may all be friends or closer acquaintances since much close physical contact was necessary. In one of the images(middle) one of the females is posing as if she was on the front of the Titanic which later became an iconic scene in the award winning movie.
